Pleasant aroma of rich bourbon and light roasted malt. Starts with a nice balanced sweetness and malty caramel with some dark chocolate. Finishes with a good bourbon character but no warming alcohol. A very nice bourbon stout. Thanks kp! goldtwins (4080), Nesconset, New York, USA

Moderate to heavily sweet, lightly acidic flavor becomes a moderately sweet, lightly acidic, moderately bitter finish. Light alcohol. Medium-heavy body, oily texture, soft carbonation. The bottom line is: the bourbon flavor is a bit sharp, but Damn Good! aracauna (2387), Georgia, USA

The bourbon and oak over the stout flavors blend nicely. Good roasty malt with a slightly bitter finish. ¾ (4999), Colorado, USA

| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jun 20, 2004 Draft at Fest: Opaque with a small tan head which diminished leaving an oily layer, good lace. The aroma has notes of vanilla, oak, whisky, roasted and burnt malts, pineapple, floral hops, and dusty yeast esters. The taste starts with a coffee and mocha nature. A nice balanced bourbon and vanilla kick, not over the top. Fruity and smoky finish. The feel is rich and smooth. Another winner from New Albanian, worth a trip to seek out their beers. Sweet (almost like an Imperial) !
