This beer is right up my alley! 86 IBU's in a big, balanced brew - reminds me of Arrogant Bastard in its mix of malt and hops. Each swallow was somehow different. One hoppy, one malty and one sweet. This is an excellent beer and hopefully one that they keep around! TAR (2095), Boulder Co., Colorado, USA

Round, earthy aroma with hints of herbs and faint must. Soft, tight carbonation. Lovely noble hop flavors alongside the typical floral, bitter leaf textures. Finishes earthy and yeasty with coarse bitter notes. This is sure to satisfy a noble hop craving, chock-full of Spalt, Saaz, and Hallertau. cb (809), Wheat Ridge, Colorado, USA

The clear golden color would trick most into thinking Bush Hog was a sissy, 3.5% lite crap beer. Not this crazy-hoppy (esp after warming past room temp.) Very refreshing citric yeast texture and flavor. Will have to get a growler of this before they run out! atpayne (615), Zionsville, Indiana, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Aug 16, 2004 Sampled at Indiana Brewers Guild Brew fest- 7/31/2004. This was a yellowish gold with a sharp bitter aroma and taste. Hops were nicely strong, and it was a great beer for a warm summer day. JoeM500 (1876), Chicago (little italy), Illinois, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Oct 10, 2003 Germanicly, maniacally hopped, strong, high gravity special. Big 86 IBU lawnmower on amphetamines. Thick but a bit unbalanced, but a cool and different hophead elixer. Somewhat over the top, but a fun beer to experience. 11026 (1772), Alabama, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 2/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Sep 30, 2004 Tap at Mad Anthony’s. Tasty beer. Not perfect, but well done. In my opinion, malt likka meets strong ale. Sweetish tastes reminiscent of malt liquor and then lots of hops. Alcohol hidden with a large hop addition. jsquire (2123), St. Marys, Ohio, USA

Golden yellow color with a thin white head and a very hoppy nose. Very hoppy beer with lots of grapefruit rind notes. Almost a harsh hop juice feel to it and not enough malts, but as a hop head I enjoyed it. muzzlehatch (4427), Burlington, Vermont, USA

Thick lemony-banana color; big malty corn-sweet nose (3 types, I’m told?), quite alcoholic...thick, malty alcoholic flavor profile, much corn syrup. For something like a malt liquor this was fine, I guess, but county me uninterested in this latest fad.
