clear dark brown, scant head, faint chocolate aroma, slick body, sweet butterscotch and roasted malt flavor, very light bitterness offers no balance, slick and buttery - is this the goal?

Poured clear dark brown color with a moderate brown frothy head that mostly lasted with good lacing. Medium body and soft carbonation. Medium toasted malt aroma. Medium bittersweet flavor with a medium bittersweet finish of moderate duration. My expectations were met with a good drinkable brew. thedm (3837), Fort Wayne, Indiana, USA

The body contained no carbonation and dark ruby red brown in color. Its aroma contained notes of very mild malts. Its mouth feel is bock like and smooth. Its flavor contained sweet malty malt hops and true beer flavor. hotstuff (3183), Indiana, USA

Has an odd taniginess. Maybe some vanilla? Possibly the pint I had was old or soured. This was just really bad beer. Since all the people in this place are super nice, a "regular" who struck up a conversation with me took a taste of this beer and said that something was wrong. I hope to get back here and give it another chance someday. A great beer bar! maniac (2773), Richmond, Virginia, USA
