| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Nov 21, 2007 Draft at RichO’s: A small head skims the top of this dark ruby beer. Light nose offers smoked caramel and tobacco. The body is lush with notes of caramel, hay, straw. A harsh smoke notes comes to the foreground as it warms, along with notes of tobacco, firewood, scorched bacon and salty pork. This becomes really smokey and almost charred as it comes to room temp. Ease off on the smoked malt and beef up the body and this could be great. Oycpff (93), USA

Aromas had roasty malt with light smokey aroma. Medium bodied beer with moderate soft carbonation. Roasted malt flavor followed by hearty smoke. Sour smokey flavor that is better than most smoke beers I’ve had. Okay beer, but I’m not a fan of smoked beers in general. Braudog (3773), Dayton, Ohio, USA

Smells like a salted pig right off the barbeque pit. Slighty hazy amber with a stark white head. Expected off white. Niced lace. Tastes literally like it smells...very smoky. Not bad. heemer77 (4311), Savannah, Missouri, USA

The aroma is strong smoked salmon with some peanuts. The taste is definitely smoke. There is also light toast and walnuts. There is some toffee in here too. This is right up the alley of smoked beer lovers.
