Commercial Description:
Excessive hopping rendered moot a modest plan to brew a seasonal winter warmer, and since the original batch was brewed on Election Day, 2002, Elector continued to make democracy pointless and redefine the Imperial Red category.

English & American malts; Cascade & Galena hops; London yeast. Dry-hopped. O.G. 1072

Pours a lighter amber shade with a small white head. The aroma is biscuity with a strong, juicy pineapple/floral aspect. This doesn’t seem to be bitter or sharp in the nose, just citrusy. The flavor is bready and biscuity with full, rich bright notes.. . almost minty. This is a maltier IPA, but that’s not to say the hop character isn’t big or really enjoyable. I really like this as far as less aggressive IPA’s go. The balance and brightness is really good.

Thanks to hopdog for sharing this growler... Appears a semi-transparent amber with a small white collar and scattered spots of lacing that are left around the glass. Tiny streams of CO2 slowly rise to the top. Smell is of honeysuckle, yeast, nuttiness, fruit, tea leaves, and freshly baked cake. Taste is of the mentioned aroma with the yeast being the standout in this one. In fact, there is some hearty yeast sediment left at the bottom of the growler and even some left in suspension. Mouthfeel is medium/full bodied, fruity up front with medium bitterness hanging on till the finish.

Growler acquired in trade with Sephiroth (thanks!). Poured a medium amber color with a smaller sized off white head. Aromas of citrus, green leaf hopiness, fruity and some caramel. I got some ice tea in there as well. Tastes were fruity with caramel, and some citrus. Light on the hopdog bitterness scale. Thinner body.

Pours a dark amber with a clingy, creamy head. Strong hop qualities with a good malt body. Lightly floral, but not over bearing.

Draft at brewpub. Poured dark brown with an average fizzy white head that mostly diminished with fair lacing. Moderate toasted bread malt aroma. Medium body with a slick texture. Medium balanced sweet flavor with a medium sweet finish of moderate duration.
