Poured a very dark ruby color that was actually quite appealing. Little to no head. There was a bit of malt on the nose but little else that could be ascertained. Taste is malty and very smooth. The mouthfeel is surprisingly thick for the beer, certainly a byproduct of the lactose in the milk. Had a woody/coffee flavor during it’s quick finish. Nothing overwhelmingly spectacular but a decent and drinkable brew.

Draft sample at New Albanian. Poured dark hazy brown color with average white fizzy head that mostly lasted with good lacing. Moderate roasted grainy and sweet&sourt aroma. Medium body with a smooth texture and flat carbonation. Medium bittersweet flavor with a medium roasted sweet finish of moderate duration. Solid drinkable brew and standout for style. Very interesting brew.

Good beer with a catchy name. Not too strong and not too bland, and not bud for sure!!!!

Pours dark reddish amber with a mostly receding wispy off-white head. Aroma is similar to Elector: piney, grapefruit, and crystal malt. Taste is resinous, tropical fruits, grapefruit, vinous hops with a bit of residual lactose sweetness. Mouthfeel is medium to full bodied and lightly resinous with moderate carbonation. The lactose was really only dectable in the mouthfeel, and just contributed to a slickness and light sweetness. I agree with mnurda, this is much more like a hoppy red ale.

Tried this after a large meal of Rich-Os delicious pizza, so my taste buds were a bit numb. But I think I would like this beer on a hot day. A nice hoppy Red sort of Ale. Will definitely try this again when I return in March.

Draft - deep crimson to ruby body. Almost purple. A small ring of beige foam. Malty aroma. The flavor is a bit sweet and maybe a touch sour with a hint of bitterness. Interesting, but I wouldn’t plan a session around it.

On tap from the St. Louis Microfest. Dark ruby hue with an off-tan head. Sweet malt nose. Creamy with a bitter hop finish. slight woody note?

Draft at St. Louis Microfest - Pours dark brown with a tan head that sticks around. Cream and roast on the aroma. Medium bodied with soft carbonation. The taste starts lightly creamy with light roast. Finish is sour with citrus and perfumey hops. Something just seems off to me throughout this beer. It is okay.
