the nose was spicy and floral, definite hops. The hops, as the name would imply, dominate the flavor. The ending is rather long and dry with hops striking the middle of the tongue. Overall a rather light and spicy drink. 502Flavors (631), Louisville, Kentucky, USA
| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Nov 27, 2008 Fresh biting hops. Dangerously drinkable because it feels and more like a premium IPA, not a IIPA, in that it isn’t super heavy, viscous and filling. Great balance – the malt doesn’t take over as it does in many IIPA’s. Not overly sweet. Great. Fresh.

| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Aug 10, 2008 Small sample, on tap at Great Taste of the Midwest. Consumed on 8-9-2008. Pours a clear gold with slow-rising bubbles and frothy, white head. Piney, salty, briney hops aroma; pickle-like smell. Soft, malty taste with a dull, dry finish. I’m not really digging this hops combo. Medium body. Soft and smooth in the palate. Ryan82SM (275), Louisville, Kentucky, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 5/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Aug 8, 2008 Some definite, but not overwhelming, floral hops and doughy yeast aroma from the start. Golden yellow appearance. The floral hops definitely carry the flavor, as the title suggests. The palate was surprisingly smooth with a hint of citrus at the finish. A pretty good beer, can’t knock it much, just not my style. BBB63 (4274), La Porte, Indiana, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Jul 21, 2008 Indiana Microbrewers Fest: Golden hue with an okay head and lace. The aroma seemed a tad weak with mild citric bittering hops, bready malt, and dusty yeast esters. The taste was balanced with citric tones and slight peppery finish over a layer of basic malts. The mouth feel is oily, soft and warming. For an DIPA this comes up short but not a bad beer.
