Hop hoppy hops, and more hops. Kick your ass hops. Love it. ElGaucho (1730), Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA

Large, off-white head that is frothy and creamy. Whoa. Rich, piney hop explosion. It’s hard to believe that you can get this much flavor out of a beer with a color this light. I’ve experienced it before on multiple occasions, but it is still relatively rare. Dry with a lot of alcohol. Really nice beer. I kept referring to this brew as Hoptimator in my notes, so if New Albanian also has a Hoptimator, somebody please let me know. However, I see that several others rated this brew at the 2006 GTM, and I’d be a little surprised if they brought beers called Hoptimus and Hoptimator! Braudog (3773), Dayton, Ohio, USA

Sinewy resin with a slippery hop citrus-ness (if that’s a word). Big beauty in a light package. Optigon (562), Bloomington, Indiana, USA
| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Jan 27, 2007 Pours dark orange, red with a thin, light head above it. Strong citrus and floral qualities. Taste-wise, a strange, almost carbon-like hop hit with a strong floral bitterness afterwards. Quite the beer! Immy (1912), Virginia Beach, Virginia, USA

Resiny pine and grapefruit nose. Flavor is more of the same, but with a solid malt spine that does not balance as much as it offsets the hops. Dry finish. Wish this wass bottled! wheninhell (486), louisville, Kentucky, USA

Dangerously drinkable because it feels and more like a premium IPA, not a IIPA, in that it isn’t super heavy, viscous and filling. Great balance – the malt doesn’t take over as it does in many IIPA’s. Not overly sweet. Great. Fresh.

Enjoyed it at the brewery and took 2 growlers to go. I really enjoyed this beer and just wish I could buy bottles in the area. Good flavor with a great finish, it didn’t have the overly hopped bitterness that you might expect with that high of an alcohol content.
