On tap at New Albanian. Poured dark brown, with a tan head. Spicy, malty nose. Flavor was pumpkin pie spice, sweet malt and alcohol. Finish was refreshing with warm alcohol notes. Billed as a "Colonial Strong Ale" this was a wonderful brew--flavorful, refreshing, yet powerful. I’m glad someone else was driving!

Pours dark ruby with a mostly receding tan head. Aroma of toffee, honey, molasses, and brown malt. Taste of honey, toffee, brown and crystal malt. Mouthfeel is full bodied with lively carbonation. Very interesting and rather sweet beer.

Draft. Deep dark brown, with small head. Oak and dark roasted coffee with a balance of sweetness in both flavor and aroma. Clean finish. Got to love a tribute to our forefathers.

Draft. Pours a dark brown with a thick tan head. Excellent aroma of molasses, oak. The flavor was excellent. A little sweetness, added to a little malt, with a clean taste. If this is how the Colonial’s drank, life then would be great!
