What a scary beer! It tastes very good, with no bitternes at all, and just the right amount of carbonation. The scary part is that it’s over 8% alcohol, and that’ll sneak up on you real quick if you’re not careful.

Sample at the brewpub. Dark brown, oildy. Grapy, roasty nose, quite malty and sweet. Very sugary intiial flavor, nicely smooth and silky throughout, bittersweet chocolate roastiness develops late. Very nice, though I guess I’m not loving it as much as most.

Pours a rich, oily blackish brown with a dense tan head. Aroma of sweet caramel and roasted malts with some molasses and dark fruits. Body starts rich and sugary sweet with good malty complexity and a nice balance of lager yeast. Very smooth, despite its viscosity, and it hides its alcohol quite well. An excellent baltic porter!

Gravity Head 2004/NABC: Deep brown hue with ruby highlights that produces a small thick tan head and very good lace. The aroma is heavy caramel and burnt malts, mocha and molasses, slightly piney and aromatic hops, apple and currents, dirty yeast esters. The taste starts with a heavy bittersweet mocha and tart fruity nature, big malts and acidic tones, well balanced for all that's is there. Nice smoky, vanilla, herbal, and nutty undertones. A thick, soft, and lush mouthfeel. The alcohol is well hidden. This is one ass kicking porter, I loved it, much more complex that most. YUMMY!

A World Class beer in my opinion. Poured dark brown with a full tan head. Malty and lightly roasty with an excellent flavor. Very good.

Draft and Growler:Thick, maple syrup, colored liquid with a good, tan, head. Bubbles struggle to the top.Aroma is very chocolatey, caramel, vanilla, and just slight alcohol,in the end.Very soft,thick,velvet-like mouthfeel.Flavors are slick chocolate, vanilla, caramel, and the finish is lightly herbal hops, remaining sweet.More porterish than almost any porters I've had. This is the real deal and is a very classy Baltic Porter.Puts most American versions to shame.

Draft Only: very dark, yet somehow you can still see through it. Almost a touch of purple when looking through. Complex flavor and just a hint of smokiness. In my opinion it is their best work to date.
