Jan 26, 2009 labeled as single batch pale ale. A decent amber ale, a nice amber body that did not have much of a head. Aroma had big pine notes snf dome caramel notes, but mostly hops. Flavor was good but one dementional hop flavor with some caramel notes. A smooth but very thin finish. A good session beer.

Jul 8, 2006 had at Hops House Brewpub after the Shiner brewery....Pours a dark honey colour.. low head..ok lacing..strong stale honey smell...tastes abit like a honey marzen and a old bitter mix. i had the beer with a green label, i think this is it.

Jun 14, 2006 12 oz bottle. Deep hazy copper with a thin white head. Aroma is sweet and slightly worty. Sweet caramel aroma. Flavour is extremely watery though. Light toffee and some non-descript bitterness.

Dec 15, 2005 Dark Brown/Orange Coloring with White Ring. Peppermint Aroma. Some Light Fruity and Spices Quality. Can’t Not Picture Peppermint as I Smell and Taste This Brew...Dry Tangy Finish. Your Basic Average Brew.

Dec 2, 2005 My bottle has a green label, not gold like in picture. Also has XXX on either side of the "New York Ale" writing. Anyhow. <P> Pours a bit clouded brown with no head. Aroma is malty. Flavor is malt, caramel, no hops evident - bottle age unknown, but based on markings on the bottom, I’d say 2002. Probably drinkable when it’s fresh, but not now... I have another beer waiting for me this evening, the rest of this one is going down the drain. <P>My local store has these in stock for some reason, but it seems that every beer I’ve had (including this one) out of their "bargain bin" has been poured down the drain after rating it. Some bargain, eh?

Nov 12, 2005 Dark red color with no head. Aroma and taste are very plain dry malts with a bit of hops on the end. Decent.

gots a light amber color frothy head
light hop smell,medium body, decent beer
flava is blanced a lil syurpy but not bad
