bottle. pours a dark hazy vrown with a thin head. nose is toffee and malt. taste is mediocre. not too bad, has a pistachio finish that is fulfilling. also leaves a hoppy citrus taste. this beer does not impress.

Bottle. Thin head on a gold body. Nose is malty and bland. First flavors to come out are cardboard and malt. This is a very watery neutral amber ale. Not bad, but I wouldn’t go out of my way to obtain it. Very watery and bland.

Amber in color with a medium sized head. Caramel/hop aroma. Woody, caramel malt flavor with a slightly spicy/hoppy finish, cereal notes as well. Very average.

Decent head from the pour with ok carbonation. Color is a medium orange with some good lacing. Aroma is slightly fruity with a hint of hops. Flavor is very smooth and well balanced but nothing to brag about. Finish is slightly dry and sour. A decent ale but nothing special.

Bottle. WTF is this doing in Austin, TX? Typical amber appearance with respectable head. Buttery-malty smell, maybe some popcorn. Thin and slimy mouthfeel, some cardboard in the flavoring. Nice try.

Woody. Slightly tart but has a general mellow presentation. Tinny on the lips. Buttery palate with a long bitter finish. This got better as it warmed. Orange-amber with clean green and gold label.

The commercial description will have to suffice. No time to write. It IS a quality brew. I don’t highly recommend this ale over many others. Mine was bottled under the name of Campaign Ale, Election ’96. Donkey and Elephant on the label. Kinda cool. Kept the bottle. The beer is kinda forgettable. Try a Tahoe Red instead.

A decent, but not great ale. Oddly, their ale is lighter in color than their Amber Lager. It’s very lightly hopped and is an easy brew to drink. Uneventful.
