Sep 12, 2002 The commercial description will have to suffice. No time to write. It IS a quality brew. I don’t highly recommend this ale over many others. Mine was bottled under the name of Campaign Ale, Election ’96. Donkey and Elephant on the label. Kinda cool. Kept the bottle. The beer is kinda forgettable. Try a Tahoe Red instead.

Mar 10, 2009 Pours redish copper with a thin tan head. Smells of caramel and vegetal. Tastes sweet and caramelly with an earthy finish.

Jun 14, 2006 12 oz bottle. Deep hazy copper with a thin white head. Aroma is sweet and slightly worty. Sweet caramel aroma. Flavour is extremely watery though. Light toffee and some non-descript bitterness.

Nov 12, 2005 Dark red color with no head. Aroma and taste are very plain dry malts with a bit of hops on the end. Decent.

Jun 6, 2002 A decent, but not great ale. Oddly, their ale is lighter in color than their Amber Lager. It’s very lightly hopped and is an easy brew to drink. Uneventful.

Feb 27, 2003 Woody. Slightly tart but has a general mellow presentation. Tinny on the lips. Buttery palate with a long bitter finish. This got better as it warmed. Orange-amber with clean green and gold label.
