| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Nov 28, 2008 Nice caramel malty presence, some hoppage but this was after a Marin ipa. Aroma is a nice bready malt. Flavor slightly cardboard - but not in a bad way. Amber white head. Bitter bite on finish. Woody flavor throughout. malrubius (1002), Valley Stream, New York, USA

Spicy sweet aroma. Roasted malty brown sugar with medium fruity and mild hoppy finish. Pretty good. Gypsy19 (647), California, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Nov 27, 2008 Tastes like sort of a cross between New Belgium’s Fat Tire and a common American pale ale. The hops are downright delicious on the creamy foundation. This isn’t a world-class beer, but it is quite good and original. fidel (976), Livermore, California, USA

| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Nov 26, 2008 Pours clear dark amber with a generous white head, good retention and very nice lacing. Pine hops aromas are strong, accompanied by spruce tips and a slight spiciness. Very well balanced flavor of the aforementioned hops with a strong caramel malt backbone. That Christmas tree sense is also there, but none of the spiciness that the nose detected. Medium to full bodied, light carbonation, and more hops than malt in the aftertaste. Very nice drink.
