The aroma was light malt, earthy hops that with a slight bit of floral to them. Almost herbal. The flavor was mostly an earthy, floral hops with some light maltiness and unfortunately a bit of alcohol. On the high side in terms of carbonation with an average mouthfeel. beerheart (237), Erie, Colorado, USA

Creamy white head lasts for the entire drink. Aroma of citrus, wild flowers, and hops. Despite the name, this is better a little warmer, at room temperature. Tastes of piney hops, caramel malts, with floral notes and some spices, such as coriander. Angeloregon (2036), Portland, Oregon, USA

Great lasting lacing in glass. Citrus, grainy nose. Caramel malts and floral hops. Gritty, tasty presence. Complex and warming. As beer warms up, it gets maltier. Not a fan of that Fat Tire flavor, but the hop presence is quite nice and this beer is very enjoyable. kkearn (1014), Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Dec 30, 2007 12oz Bottle, best by 15 Feb 08. Poured orange amber, capped with a tan head that filled the pint glass. Earthy, floral hops hit the nose immediately, followed by grain and sweet malt. Flavor is dominated by hops at first, which are quickly joined by caramel malt, alcohol, and some spice. Fairly bitter finish. Wulfstan (509), California, USA
| 4.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 5/5 | 18/20 | Dec 30, 2007 Updated: Jun 9, 2008This is surprisingly nice, being full of not only malt but strong hop flavour without a corresponding bitterness. It is light amber with a medium, dense off white head a fairly nice lacing. The aroma is grain, pine, cypress, toffee and yellow cake batter. The taste was a little odd at first the first time I had it, but it develops into a nice, interesting, full bodied & well-rounded flavour. It has toasted grain, cream soda, hints of caramel and pineapple juice, aromatic citrus-pine-floral hop element with lots of hops flavour but only light hop bitterness. It’s surprisingly oily and silky. It’s a lot like a malty, full-bodied double IPA without the bitterness. Maverick34 (729), New York, USA
