The flavor is a little bubblegummy, with some sweet caramel malt, pine, and spices. Some roasted hints in the finish. Rotorhead87 (117), Temple, Texas, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | May 18, 2007 A nice, simple beer. First thing you notice is the malt, both in smell and flavor but it tones down nicely as you drink it leaving a good bitter taste. Perhaps a bit more watery than I prefer, but I usually drink thick beers so my scale could be scewed. iwc046 (22), Kansas City, Missouri, USA

| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Apr 16, 2007 Bottle sampled on 12/2/06: Pours a clear copper bronze with a thin, wispy-lacing light tan head. Lightly sweet toasty earthy caramel malty aroma has some mild English hop character. Body starts lightly toasty and sweet but thins with a hint of grapefruity hoppiness toward a duller bland finish. Fairly drinkable, but that’s about it. k2 (146), USA
