PsionSaint (51), Colorado, USA Oct 6, 2007 An excellent seasonal ale from New Belgium. Strong hops with first sip. Amber color with decent head. Wish this wasn’t just a seasonal.
undsioux7 (515), Cologne, Minnesota, USA Nov 29, 2008 Poursclear dark amber with a white head. Aroma of mild spicy hops and bready malt. Taste is the same. Not bad. BenDover (103), Texas, USA Nov 28, 2008 Pours a dark orange, very little foam. Aroma of faint hops. It’s very biting going down, but strangely, there’s NO TASTE. AT ALL.
Lame. Taverner (517), San Ramon, California, USA Nov 28, 2008 Nice caramel malty presence, some hoppage but this was after a Marin ipa. Aroma is a nice bready malt. Flavor slightly cardboard - but not in a bad way. Amber white head. Bitter bite on finish. Woody flavor throughout. malrubius (511), USA Nov 28, 2008 On tap @ a pizza place in Scottsdale, AZ. Dark amber with lasting head and lace. Spicy sweet aroma. Roasted malty brown sugar with medium fruity and mild hoppy finish. Pretty good. Gypsy19 (254), AMERICA RISING, USA Nov 27, 2008 Tastes like sort of a cross between New Belgium’s Fat Tire and a common American pale ale. The hops are downright delicious on the creamy foundation. This isn’t a world-class beer, but it is quite good and original.
