| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | May 12, 2007 Most impressive aspect of the beer was the head which was both gorgeous and felt great against the lips. Other than that, a solid dubbel that I found somewhat unremarkable. Rotorhead87 (117), Temple, Texas, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | May 11, 2007 Very good beer, my favorite from New Belgium. Too bad its not as readily available in my area as some of the others.
Anyway, a good classic dubble. Not the best of the type but definitely the best of the reasonably priced ones. Has a nice yeast and malt flavor with the yeast coming through the strongest. maniac (2628), Richmond, Virginia, USA

| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Apr 20, 2007 A clear pouring dark brown with light copper highlights. The head was off-white and an inch and a half high. Hung around a while before rertreating into the glass leaving a galaxy swirl atop the brew. The aroma was a pleasant combination of malt, bread with a bit of spice (clove, cinnamon, nutmeg). The flavor was a bit too acidic. Not enough malt to balance out the yeast and citrus flavors that came through. Relatively thin body with a faint metallic aftertaste. Nothing to write home about. bgburdman9 (823), Columbus, Ohio, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Apr 19, 2007 Poured dark brown with a reddish hue to it. This was actually a pretty good belgian dubbel. Aroma was yeast, dark fruits, and malty with some yeast coming through. Flavor was pretty rich and malty. A little alcohol came through and maybe the slightest metallic taste. Very solid beer though. troyc (1175), Lubbock, Texas, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Apr 17, 2007 (Bottle) Pours a reddish dark brown color with an impressive tan head. Aroma of sugar and nutmeg. The taste brings out a more fruity side of the beer. Well balanced flavor, but the aroma was pretty one dimensional. A good beer, and something I will try again when I get the chance. kkearn (1011), Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA
