12 oz bottle - Grapevine Market - Austin, Tx. Pours a medium to dark copper with a frothy khaki colored head with excellent lacing.Aroma is sweet and bubblegum like with notes of candied sugar. The essences of the aroma carry over to the flavor with some licorice added in for good measure. A little bit of yeast adds some balance. Mouthfeel is decent at first but turns a bit metallic near the end. Overall, a decent Dubbel.

Sep 17, 2008 Garnet colored...impressive off-white creamy head. Nuttiness, dark fruit, caramel and brown sugar on the nose. You can definitely taste it’s Belgian influences but it just doesn’t stand up to the smaller batch beers in terms of complexity. A nice transitional brew. Inexpensive and tasty, but not amazing.

Sep 12, 2008 Mahogany with a medium off-white head. Aroma of fruit, brown sugar, nuts and bubblegum. Taste of brown sugar, nuts, toffee and fruit. Semi-dry nutty finish.
