Commercial Description:
Biere De Mars is New Belgium’s exploration of the classic French and Belgian brews celebrating the half-winter, half-spring month of March. Our bottle-conditioned version, however, goes where no BIERE DE MARS has gone before. After gazing at its cloudy, yet glowing orange hue, prepare yourself for a celestial collaboration of oats, wheat, barley malt and lemon verbena, all of which is set into orbit by unidentified flying yeast strains.

Tap at the Six Arms. Hazy dark brown beer. Nice sweet caramel malts underneath a great tart aroma. Some great fruitiness, cherry, orange peel mixed with a soft woodiness. Vineous, white grape flavour. Body is still quite full, but there is great balance here. Lots of tasty funk. Dryish finish, despite all the sweet malts up front. Oaky tannic flavour and a lingering woody, resiny finish.

Pours a orange/amber with small off-white head. The aroma is apricot, caramel with plenty of barnyard Brettiness. The flavor is musty and sour with bits of pear, apple, peaches and spice. Slightly bitter finish. Mouthfeel is smooth with lively carbonation.

Thin but dense white head. Cloudy orange. Light spicey sweet aroma. A little sour, with medium sweetness but a dry finish. A sometimes fitting break between strong IPA’s.

Very hazy amber with a fluffy head and a herby citrus aroma. It’s heavy on the spice and I’m not liking some of the specific spices that are standing out, too much coriander for example.

Thanks to tjthresh. The beer pours to a hazy glowing amber/orange body with a thin white head. The aroma is very strong. Oats, lemon, bubblegum. Very unique and smells nice. The flavor is fresh oats, barley, light fresh wheat, interestingly yeasty, clean and fresh grains and refreshing flavor. Smooth, easy drinking, refreshing. This is a very well done "budget" saison. As this beer warms and you drink more of it, it gets a little raw tasting.

Poured a cloudy orange hue, just like thier description. Had a nice head that lasted for most of the glass. I could taste the malts, wheat, a bit of orange, and a hint of apple. Pleasant to drink with a clean finish.

Tap at the Wash Park Grille, 23 oz mug served with an orange. Cloudy Orange color with a decent white head that dissipated fairly quickly. Not much aroma. Taste was refreshing and light, but not overly flavorful, a tiny bit citrusy. Fairly unimpressive overall. Kind of a dry, fizzy mouthfeel. Probably a good summer lawnmower beer.
