Commercial Description:
Biere De Mars is New Belgium’s exploration of the classic French and Belgian brews celebrating the half-winter, half-spring month of March. Our bottle-conditioned version, however, goes where no BIERE DE MARS has gone before. After gazing at its cloudy, yet glowing orange hue, prepare yourself for a celestial collaboration of oats, wheat, barley malt and lemon verbena, all of which is set into orbit by unidentified flying yeast strains.

Middle of the road, has the signature bready flavor that lots of New Belgium beers do. Not much depth or originality. Tastes like most of their other ales. Not bad, but I would not seek it out.

Bottle. Best New Belgium beer I have had. Similar to Leinenkugel’s Northwoods or Creamy Dark. Rich malty flavor with a citrus hint to it. Very tasty.

A fruity beer with the typical New Beglium sweetness. Like the description, a cloudy orange/yellow body with a slight head. Slightly bitter. A light tasting beer on the palate and not too much aftertaste, so it was easy drinking and the lavor didn’t get old either.

(Bottle) Pours an orange body with a moderate off-white head. Aroma of cereal and orange peel. Flavor of malt, lemon, oatmeal, and holiday fruit cake. Finish was somewhat astringent and bitter.

Bottle Pours a cloudy orange with a medium sized off white head. This quickly dissipates leaving silky smootin lacing. Slightly sour citurs aroma with a little musty yeast notes as well. Flavors are similar dry and begish yeast flavor with some lemon and orange flavors as well. Strange flavor. Nice soft carbonation. Astringent trailer.

Pours cloudy orange. The aroma is almost kriek-like with a sourness to it as well as grass and yeast. Flavor is light with hints of peppery lemon, yeast and wheat. Clean with a dry finish.
