Commercial Description:
Biere De Mars is New Belgium’s exploration of the classic French and Belgian brews celebrating the half-winter, half-spring month of March. Our bottle-conditioned version, however, goes where no BIERE DE MARS has gone before. After gazing at its cloudy, yet glowing orange hue, prepare yourself for a celestial collaboration of oats, wheat, barley malt and lemon verbena, all of which is set into orbit by unidentified flying yeast strains.

Almost no head or lacing. Lightly cloudy orange with small floaties. Very subtle peach aroma. Apricot flavour, slightly sour and a dry finish. Medium body with a slight baking soda quality.

Very light aroma. All I could detect was peach, no hops or malt. Pours a cloudy orange, sparse head. Medium body and flat. Acids are present and moderate bitter finish. Quite dry. Maybe I’m missing the point, but I found this boring and dull.

Nice hazy orange color with a big frothy long lasting head laying on the brew. Soft carbonation. Apricot, orange nose - not very intense. Some koriander with grape and alcohol are in this fruity tasting brew.

Entirely pleasant and just as uninteresting. Coriander? Maybe just a little hiding in with the rest of the generic spiciness. Maybe I shoulda tried this one AFTER that pale.. :) At the end of the night, this is a decent brew which has got more rhymes than jamaica got mangoes.

A combination of flavors and types of beers that did not seem to equal much of anything.

Cloudy amber with a weak white head. Nose is citrus, malt, coriander. Medium body. Some toffee in the taste. A tad acidic. Interesting beer and style.

Deep apricot in colour. Lively carbonation fizzles beneath noticeably lacking head. Smells of apricots and wood. Clean, dry palate. Undectable hop bitterness. Rather sweet with a pleasant spicy balance.

This is a very nice smooth beer. Looks like Orange Soda but doesn't taste like it. Nice flavor not bitter. Particulates throughout. Its very drinkable. I think these guys are onto something. Something very good.
