Aroma of grass, hay, orange, slight brett zing, old lemon, sourdough bread, and maybe some yams. Tastes malty with sourdough bread, orange, nutmeg, slight pumpkin spice, light brett to keep things funky, and leafy hops. Finishes with yam flavor on the throat, slight brett, and leafy hops. Medium bodied and drinkable. Quite nice, sessionable, and flavorful. I give this credit for being unique as I don’t think this taste muchs like any other biere de gardes (how many have I actually had?) or brett beers.

| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Dec 26, 2009 Bottle: Poured a clear deep golden color ale with a large foamy head that disappeared way too quickly without any lacing. Aroma of spices with bland malt base and light dry Brett notes. Taste is also dominated by light spice mix with notes of bland Belgian style malt with a very faint funky aftertaste. Body is a bit light for style with average carbonation and no apparent alcohol. Very disappointing from a brewery who usual produce better offering. punkrkr27 (651), Berkley, Michigan, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Dec 26, 2009 Hazy gold pour with a small white head. The aroma is lightly nutty with notes of pear, clove, allspice, lemon, and bread. The flavor is earthy and nutty with a mushroomy umame like quality. There’s a little bit of allspice in there with a subtle sourness, some toffee and a sort of salty finish. The body is creamy, medium full with soft carbonation. NachlamSie (1652), Tennessee, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Dec 25, 2009 Bomber from Midtown shared with Tronraner on Mithros’ birthday. Pours a cloudy gold with a small white head. The aroma is hoppier than I expected given my experience with La Folie, but figuring this is an American brewery I shouldn’t be entirely surprised. The hop character is not massive, but assertive and not really the kind of hop I look for. Spices, gummy candy, and a faint brettiness are also in the aroma. The mouthfeel is a little sticky with flavors of citrus, cinnamon, chewy candies, and really weak brett funk in the finish. It’s hard to finish half a pint. The finish is compounding with flavors of apricots and some sticky, fruity sweetness. This is okay I guess. It certainly does not live up to La Folie. tronraner (1938), Seymour, Tennessee, USA

Pours a hazy orange gold with moderate offwhite head. The aroma is leather, slight cheese, some eathy hops, and a touch of mint. The flavor is pleasantly hoppy with earth, grass, and distant lemon notes. There’s a mellow gouda note in the background that makes it rather interesting. It takes on a sort of plantiness toward the finish. Not too shabby. DubC5000 (202), San Diego, California, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Dec 18, 2009 Beautiful amber-brown in color with no head formation and minimal carbonation. Sweet, grassy hops, honey and marshmallow on the nose, with a slight hint of bubblegum. Decidedly bready taste, with citrus sourness without the acidity and licorice flavors. Alcohol apparent but not overwhelming and adds a nice cooling finish. Very mild hop bitterness. A great ale on its own, and I’d be curious to try more of the style. tokyogoat (576), San Diego, California, USA

Nose is mostly bready.
Taste is bland, no tartness, no complexity, no funk, no nothing. it is a really bland beer that I have trouble believing should be considered a bierre de mars. It tasted mostly of biscuit. Here’s how boring this beer is, my girlfriend liked it.
