Commercial Description:
Biere De Mars is New Belgium’s exploration of the classic French and Belgian brews celebrating the half-winter, half-spring month of March. Our bottle-conditioned version, however, goes where no BIERE DE MARS has gone before. After gazing at its cloudy, yet glowing orange hue, prepare yourself for a celestial collaboration of oats, wheat, barley malt and lemon verbena, all of which is set into orbit by unidentified flying yeast strains.

Bottle Pours a cloudy orange with a medium sized off white head. This quickly dissipates leaving silky smootin lacing. Slightly sour citurs aroma with a little musty yeast notes as well. Flavors are similar dry and begish yeast flavor with some lemon and orange flavors as well. Strange flavor. Nice soft carbonation. Astringent trailer.

Didn’t expect to like this one quite as much as I did... All told, out of the bottle it looks about like a cross between an amber ale and a wheat beer. Nice amber/orange color with a lot of haze. Lemony nose. Body is rather crisp and ends with a slight citrus twist at the end that is refreshing. Definitely worth trying...

22oz bottle shared with xnoxhatex and davinci. Pours a clear orange glowing golden with a great bit white foamy rocky froth with nice lacing. Aroma is nice brett, some apple sweetness, light bread and touch of soap. Metallic blood flavor, weird, some sharp apply sweetness with a bitter earthy yucky aftertaste. Medium bodied, corse chunky soda carbonation which dies quickly and becomes rather flat. Nice aroma...

Hazy orange, fair head. Floral aroma, mixed with sweet notes, spice and hops. Lots of sweet flavors. Chalky mouthfeel. Almost a soapy finish. Not offensive, but different. Incredibly smooth though.

22oz bottle of Lips of Faith Biere de Mars. Not sure if this is the same stuff, but here goes. Bright melon orange with plenty of carbonation. Sweet and spicy aroma. Orange and ginger, a touch tart, a touch candy-ish. Interesting. The flavors are similar with a good dose of sweet candy, cleaned up by healthy carbonation and a ginger-spice-earthy character. Interesting, but it comes across as fake and I don’t know why.

22oz. bottle. Bright amber oange in color with an average sized head. Aroma is floral, lightly hoppy, a little funk, citrus, and a lot of brett. Taste is of straw, grain, a light tasrtness, citrus, and of course a yeasty brett character. Slightly dry finish.

Pours an orange yellow with a white head. Funky Orange hoppy aroma. Citrus hoppy flavor. Interesting lingering funk flavor. Definately different.
