Commercial Description:
Biere De Mars is New Belgium’s exploration of the classic French and Belgian brews celebrating the half-winter, half-spring month of March. Our bottle-conditioned version, however, goes where no BIERE DE MARS has gone before. After gazing at its cloudy, yet glowing orange hue, prepare yourself for a celestial collaboration of oats, wheat, barley malt and lemon verbena, all of which is set into orbit by unidentified flying yeast strains.

Bottle thanks to 17thfloor. Almost clear amber with fluffy white head and excelent lacing. Aroma is lemongrass, Brett and light sweetness. Flavor is Brett, grass, lemon, grainy, light alc, slightly sweet, mango, not bad. Light bodied and watery, light carbonation. Okay.

Beer pours hazy orange hue with a white head that very rapidly completetly dissipates. Aroma is fruity with a little yeast. Flavor is citric spicy but a bit on the flat side. Decent, but a bit disappointing.

Rerate 06.07.06 Lightly hazed copper. Attractive brett nose. Moderate bitterness, including a distinct herbal bitterness. Attractive brett character, both in terms of dryness and a nice soft horseblankety finish.

12 oz bottle, goblet. Soft and subtle nose...wheat, bready yeast, lemons, pepper. Medium gold hue, with a short foamy white head. Moderately sweet, lightly acidic flavor becomes a lighlty sweet, lightly acidic, lightly bitter finish. Medium body, watery texture, average carbonation. The bottom line is: doesn’t have the same oomph that a lot of belgian saisons do.

12oz 2005 - Solid opening waft followed by gentle cirus notes added to the belgian yeast. Cloudy orange with a small white quickly disapating head, litttle lacing. Flavor is of a very smooth belgian yeast and malt with a touch of lemon. Lasting flavor that asks for more. Overall a nice smooth ale that would taste great anytime of year.

Hazy orange in color, head quickly dissipated. Aroma is yeasty, fruity, with flavors of orange, lemon, and maybe peaches. Tangy and bubbly mouth feel. Dry finish, Thanks, Tad.

Poured a nice caramel amber with a gerat head and lacing. Fruity citrus aroma. Flavor is light hops and citrus, yeast, fruit. This is a good easy drinking beer that would be great cold in the summer.

On draught at Sycamore. Light, orange, cloudy, and quite tasty. Some citrus in there and a very drinkable take on the style.
