Honey wheat crackers, funky bitter balance--nice combination, Big carbonation, medium body, syrupy orange peel finish. Great combination of bready sweetness and earthy funky spiciness. Very enjoyable. grat (433), ST. Louis, Missouri, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Feb 15, 2006 Lately I am incredibly unimpressed by this brewery. Draught. Opaque murky pour. Nothing but cloudiness and orange-straw viscuousness. Head dies quick. At first the nose was delightful. Sour grapes, bubblegum and a nice cracked and edgy malt flavor that was, to say the least, refined. This however quickly turned south. At first the funk that wafted from the goblet was palatable. Dead spiders, dusty corners and goats milk. But then...OHH...pure gym socks...over and over again nothing but gym socks. No subtleness only a nasty fungusy ripeness. This keg was brand new too. Flavorsare murky and confused. Too much bubblegum, malts are flat and sour like most of their brews and the funkiness penetrates everything in a decent but not impressive way. All in all this is an ok beer but just hold your nose when you drink it.

| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Jan 21, 2006 Bottle. Pours cloudy, golden orange with a thin to non existent white head. Very yeasty aroma with some banana and a bit of lemon coming through. I do get some lemons and orange in the taste along with grains, wheat. Finishes with some a sour lemon and apple peel taste. Very easy drinking beer. RooftopRogue (423), Champaign, Illinois, USA
| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 1/5 | 9/20 | Dec 10, 2005 A mixture of sour citrus and wheat combine to create the aroma of this beer. A golden-orange color and moderate head and decent lacing are the signature markings of this beer. The taste is of bitter wheat marked by mild citrus inflections. The taste fades fast. robertjm (408), El Cerrito, California, USA

Beautiful orange body with average carbonation in the bottom of the glass. Slight spicy aroma. Some brews have their spices kick you in the face. This one’s spice is mild, among flavors of mango. | 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 8/20 | May 10, 2003 (bottle) A hazy beer. I wasn't quite sure what kind of beer this was actually when I got the bottle, but found out quickly whrn I poured it and smelled/saw it. Not my favorite style. It didn't have much flavor or character, tho the aroma was nice. leitrim65 (398), Seattle, Washington, USA

Cloudy burnt orange color with large yeast particles floating about. Full bodied smooth and creamy on the palate with long lasting bitter after taste. ElGaucho56 (393), USA

Pours a quite nice ruby-golden tinge with a decent head and chunky lacing. Nose very hay-like with citrus peel undertones. Both become more prevalent on the palate, although the body is lacking. Some definite unwanted oxidation in the flavor, along crisp lemon, clover honey, and medicinal hop bitterness. Very mild brett strain. Not bad, grew on me a little as I sampled it.
