Commercial Description:
Biere De Mars is New Belgium’s exploration of the classic French and Belgian brews celebrating the half-winter, half-spring month of March. Our bottle-conditioned version, however, goes where no BIERE DE MARS has gone before. After gazing at its cloudy, yet glowing orange hue, prepare yourself for a celestial collaboration of oats, wheat, barley malt and lemon verbena, all of which is set into orbit by unidentified flying yeast strains.

Bottle from JW77. Orangish color. Manure, hay and funk city on the nose. Tart flavors, malt, earthy and woody notes. some fruits lend a nice complexity.

While I don't get any orange flavor or aroma from this one, I do get all the wonderful citrus lambic complexes. Amber red, possibly orange in color. A fine specialty ale from this brewer.

Very bad. Usually when I talk about barnyard or horseblanket, I am describing a lambic. But this beer really does smell like a barn, and unlike quality lambic, not in a good way. Acidic, ammonia aroma. Nearly undrinkable.

Bottle. Cloudy orange-amber beer with an off-white head. Sweet candy/malt aroma. Sweet malt/grain flavor with some citrus aftertaste. Easy drinking. Refreshing.

On tap as Lips of Faith Biere de Mars. Pours with a hazed amber body and a foamy off-white head that sticks for a while and leaves pretty good lace. Aroma of caramel, hay, toast, a touch of spice, diacetyl and light horse hair. Taste is pretty darn god with caramel, toast, candied figs, alcohol, toffee, bread and a very strong earthy quality (does this have a bit of brett in it?) Water like mouthfeel, light bubbles.

On draught at Mangia Italiano in St. Louis (under Lips of Faith line). The beer is a cloudy golden-orange color with a medium off-white head that diminishes steadily. Thin rings of lacing. Aroma of fruits and yeast plus some earthy malt. Medium body with flavors of funky fruit, malt and yeast. The finish is fruity and has a bready and earthy malt aftertaste. Above average overall.

Aroma is yeast, citrus, peach and apricot, hazy apricot colour, tiny custard head. Taste is musty lemon, peach, and yeast. Light bodied, easy drinking, mildly tart. Very good, but could use some spice? Thanks a lot wohlfs.

Pours a hazy orange color with a small white head. Aroma was slightly spicy with some citrus hop aroma. Taste had a moderate sweet taste with a slightly bitter end. Very smooth going down leaving a slightly acidic taste behind. If i had to make up a word to describe it i think i would chose, Fubaneii
