Commercial Description:
Biere De Mars is New Belgium’s exploration of the classic French and Belgian brews celebrating the half-winter, half-spring month of March. Our bottle-conditioned version, however, goes where no BIERE DE MARS has gone before. After gazing at its cloudy, yet glowing orange hue, prepare yourself for a celestial collaboration of oats, wheat, barley malt and lemon verbena, all of which is set into orbit by unidentified flying yeast strains.

A very spicey and wonderfully attractive beer. Pours a beautiful orange/amber colour with a robust lacing of white bubbles clinging to the glass. Lemon, ginger and hop laden. This is like a liquid flower.

Murky orange-ish brew. Citrus nose, not from hops type citrus but the fruits. Medium/light body. Mildly spiced. Pretty enjoyable.

Tap at brewery: Hazy/orange in color. A rather dry palate. Lemon gives a nice zest with citrus notes. Very light and pleasant.

Orange moon looming with promise. Okay, enough with the pottery. Rather nice, pleasantly subtle yeasty, fruity, soft and easily drinkable.

Tried again, thanks to csbosox. I got more smell of cheese and a little sweeter take ont he taste. I enjoyed it a little more as it seemed to have a little more funk in it this time around. A slightly cloudy light orange colored body with just hints at a head. The aroma is oranges with caramel and some burnt nuts. The taste has some orange marmalade and black pepper spice to the finish. An interesting citrus take on the saison style.

Hazy orange-yellow with a decent head (if poured down the middle of the glass). There's honey on the nose. Decent yeast-weighted flavor with a wheaty character, smooth but not overbearing. Not as full-charactered as a good Belgian wheat, but not a bad interpretation for the US market.
