Amber pour with modest carbonation. The aroma is quite nice, with lively hops, pepper, and brett mixing playfully together. Nice full body. The spice and hops are up front, but there’s a very pleasant bretty finish to this one. Not quite as much complexity as you’d want for the style (and price!) but a very enjoyable beer for sure. riversideAK (2745), Shoreline, Washington, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Apr 24, 2009 Tap at Brouwers. Had while hanging out with bvc. He had the Glacier IPA as did after4ever who was there too. He rated it highly This one has tons of fruit on the nose along with lots of brett. I got notes of orange, peach, lemon, dusty brett, some spice. A touch of bread perhaps as well. Pours a nice orange, hazy with a thin head. The flavor is also very fruity. A great deal of orange, lemon, peach. This is followed by some bready spicy sweetness on the mid palate and a does of dusty funk in the finish. Medium carbonaton, silky smooth mouth feel - assuming the oats contribute to this. Drinks very nicely and is pretty flavorful. ROGUE (676), Newark, Delaware, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Aug 6, 2009 On tap. Pours murky rust orange with a thin, foamy head that quickly recedes. Aroma of orange zest, caramel malts, fruity esters and some slight sour and earthy notes. The flavor has bready malts and fruity esters appear on the front, followed by orange zest, lots of spice, and an earthy finish. This beer is on the lighter side of medium-bodied, with average carbonation and a slightly sour, funky finish. Not bad at all, and pretty drinkable theisti (1680), Leawood, Kansas, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jun 8, 2009 Tap at Crescent Moon in Omaha, Nebraska. Pour is dark golden orange, mostly clear with a nice one inch tan head. Visible carbonation on the pour. Aroma of soft biscuit malt, joined with sweet banana fruit, some funky honey floral notes, grass and some ginger. The taste resembles the nose, starting with the malt, followed quickly by the sweet fruit and honey floral. The funky and grass are present in the taste as well, though come across a little dirty. Palate is medium, coats the mouth nicely, then the carbonation lifts wells. The dirtiness of the taste actually led to a pleasant mineral mouth feel that ended dry. Nice beer.
