Commercial Description:
Biere De Mars is New Belgium’s exploration of the classic French and Belgian brews celebrating the half-winter, half-spring month of March. Our bottle-conditioned version, however, goes where no BIERE DE MARS has gone before. After gazing at its cloudy, yet glowing orange hue, prepare yourself for a celestial collaboration of oats, wheat, barley malt and lemon verbena, all of which is set into orbit by unidentified flying yeast strains.

Orange/yellow pour, smallish white head. Spicy nose, cloves and cinnamon. Mouthfeel is soft, no single flavor dominates, but there is a pronounced spicy forefront partnered with the soft malts. The finish is long and slightly sweet, and more spice. Hops come in well towards the end, and are very subtle.

Interesting complex maltiness with a slight citrsu zing. LOTS of yeast flocs in the bottle (too many for my taste).

Pale opaque amber with a small white head and good carbonation. Yeasty sweet aroma with some herbal, toffee and citrus notes, hops and a bit of wet cardboard. Subtle and smooth with decent body. Spritzy. A little bitterness in the finish. Some strange vegetable flavors with some spiciness. I don’t get much citrus flavor but it comes out in the belch.

Poured a cloudy orange color with a slightly orange small head. Aroma of bread dough and spiciness. Had a nice malty, spicey taste with a hint of citrus/orange flavor.

22oz bottle. "lips of faith" series. a very nice looking beer with a clear appearance under a small frothy white head. musty, green olive, light peachy aroma. bretty, green olive, basement dank flavors but on the light side. crisp, light and dry palate. refreshing. a bit thin.

Out of a bottle. Aroma of citrus, wheat and yeast. Poured a hazy orangeglo to peach color with nice head. Flavor was good, orange tinge on the wheat definite yeast notes. Palate was medium bodied and finished well.

This was the first brew for me in this style, so I had no idea what to expect. It was crisp and refreshing. The lemon is not overpowering, and the other flavors are well rounded.

Overall a little dissapointing. Pours a hazy orange/amber in color, with no head. Flavors of honey, and light citrus notes. The good note is that it goes down easy so I can try something else.
