Commercial Description:
Climb on in and grab a paddle. Our first foray into lagered beers, Blue Paddle Pilsener-Lager, is a Czech style pilsener with a refreshing crispness from noble hops and a rich, malty finish. ‘Blue Paddle’ refers to the implement our warehouse manager’s Grandma once used to lovingly paddle his a** when she caught him stealing sips of her beer. With more body than a traditional Belgian pils, Blue Paddle is reflective of Europe’s finest pilseners.

The beer pours a clear light yellow gold, with a thin white head that dissipates quickly. The nose is sweet acid and citrus with an undertone of aromatic hops. The flavor is light and crisp with a hint of malts and citrus, the finish is lightly bitter. Overall: bla, bla, bla. Nothing special about this beer.

(Bottle) Pours a golden color with a small white head. Aroma of pale malts, biscuit, and light hops. Taste is crisp and pretty clean, with good balance in the hops and malt. Light grass and maybe some dry citrus notes as well. Strong carbonation. A pretty good pilsener to enjoy during the summer.

In OK beer for New Belgium, but the after taste is way too tart and bitter for my liking

Floral and some fruit on the nose. Pale gold color, small head. Mild lemony sweetness, a little bit biscuity, good bitterness. High carbonation, tight bubbles, pretty crisp finish, some slight lingering bitterness. Overall nice Pilsener, could be just a tad cleaner, but solid.

Bottle. Pours a hazy light golden color with an initial 2 finger rocky white head that fades into a constant topper. Nose is faint with mild hops and malt. Palate is grassy malt with mild hops in the finish. Medium mouth feel with great lacing. An OK pilsner.
