Commercial Description:
Climb on in and grab a paddle. Our first foray into lagered beers, Blue Paddle Pilsener-Lager, is a Czech style pilsener with a refreshing crispness from noble hops and a rich, malty finish. ‘Blue Paddle’ refers to the implement our warehouse manager’s Grandma once used to lovingly paddle his a** when she caught him stealing sips of her beer. With more body than a traditional Belgian pils, Blue Paddle is reflective of Europe’s finest pilseners.

Bottled. A hazy light golden beer with a thin off-white head. The aroma is sweet citrusy. The flavor is sweet with notes of citrus and malt, leading to a slightly bitter finish. The body is light.

from bottle and on tap. thick head and a wonderful crisp, clean, clear straw color. Slight malt and hops in the aroma and a wonderful maltiness with just enough hops. Very nice session beer. Good for poker at the local establishment :-)

Straight from the bottle while fishing. Pleasant citrus and malt nose. Crisp mouthfeel. Citrus is repeated in the taste, along with a hint of malt. Aftertaste was mild. A nice pilsner. Didn’t catch any fish, but the beer was good...

Golden pour with a good foamy white head. Malt and citrus aroma. Pretty light flavors of malt and light fruit. Some hoppiness on the finish. A good all around pilsner.

First let me say I am not a fan of lagers. Golden yellow pour with a small white head poured in a pilsener glass. There is a malty aroma with a hint of citrus hops. The malt is definitely present in the taste (lightly toasted) with some grain and very mild hop.

bottle - Pours pale gold with a one finger white head. It smells of pale malt and mild hops. The flavor is of biscuity malt with well balanced crisp hops. It’s light, not watery, and pretty refreshing. Nice pils.

Moderate but quickly dissipating head. Very little lacing. Clear yellow color. Very little aroma. Smooth mouthfeel with the right amount of carbonation. Slight hoppy taste, but very little else in the way of noticeable flavor. Dry finish with no aftertaste. Wouldn’t be bad on a warm day, but it won’t work it’s way into my regular rotation.
