Commercial Description:
Climb on in and grab a paddle. Our first foray into lagered beers, Blue Paddle Pilsener-Lager, is a Czech style pilsener with a refreshing crispness from noble hops and a rich, malty finish. ‘Blue Paddle’ refers to the implement our warehouse manager’s Grandma once used to lovingly paddle his a** when she caught him stealing sips of her beer. With more body than a traditional Belgian pils, Blue Paddle is reflective of Europe’s finest pilseners.

This is a dang good pils indeed. Refreshing, medium bodied, smooth and balanced. Just the perfect amount of hoppiness and bitterness. Spicey aroma. Very nice.

Bottle: Golden colored pour with medium white head. Grainy, malty, straw like aroma. Crisp, spicy, slight floral finish. I liked this.

Nothing special, a run of the mill pilsener. very bland with no flavors really coming out in the beer. Wouldn’t buy again

Billowing white head, crystal clear yellow body. Grassy fragrance, with some faint noble hop notes. Kind of bland tasting, some bready flavors emerge. Quickly fading after-taste, nothing really lingers at all. Not much to get excited about here, just an average pilsner.

Oct. 2006 - Bright yellow color. Seriously grassy aroma. Flavor was sweet and very bitter and hoppy from grassy hops. An average pilsner with a lot of hoppiness.

12 oz. bottle courtesy of mball581. Pours a clear light golden color with a good sized fluffy white head. The aroma is grass and bread with the slightest hint of hops. The flavor is pretty bland; light malt, dry, mildly bitter finish. Not much to speak of here. Not my style and not much flavor equals two strikes. With many more beers to taste; strike three it’s out of here.
