Commercial Description:
Climb on in and grab a paddle. Our first foray into lagered beers, Blue Paddle Pilsener-Lager, is a Czech style pilsener with a refreshing crispness from noble hops and a rich, malty finish. ‘Blue Paddle’ refers to the implement our warehouse manager’s Grandma once used to lovingly paddle his a** when she caught him stealing sips of her beer. With more body than a traditional Belgian pils, Blue Paddle is reflective of Europe’s finest pilseners.

12 oz bottle poured into flute- poured with very light carbonation, transparent golden yellow. A nice thin frothy head, aroma of light malt and yeast. Hits the mouth with a bite of bitterness, a thin but defined body, and a closing finish. Refreshing.

At first glance, this appears to be a typical American lager, but you can’t always judge a book by it’s cover. This had a pleasing light bitterness, light and bubbly on the palate . Aroma is a light hoppy pine. Over all a nice brew for a Pilsner.

Light, hazy blond color. Light aroma, but with some hop, and light fruitness. The flavor as well is not bad: light mouthfeel, dry, with light crispy malt and the hopping is quite good.

Hazy blond color. Poor aroma. The flavor is ok, with some malt, but very simple. The bitterness is medium high. Ordinary Lager.

On tap at the brewery. Poured a clear straw color with a frothy white head that left beautiful lacing. Earthy aroma. Smooth entry with some grainy pilsener malts leads into a lightly hopped finish. Easy to drink, but nothing extraordinary.

Golden with a large white head, good lacing and retention. Aroma is grainy malts, some bread and grassy hops. Light body, somewhat bitter/dry finish. Too much grain.

On tap at the brewery. Really well done for a pilsener. The beer had a light color with a malty - grass like nose and a light body free of defects. Very quaffable.

Light golden color, grass and apples. A very little bit of hops, but weak all around. A weak beer, but a good pils.
