Commercial Description:
Climb on in and grab a paddle. Our first foray into lagered beers, Blue Paddle Pilsener-Lager, is a Czech style pilsener with a refreshing crispness from noble hops and a rich, malty finish. ‘Blue Paddle’ refers to the implement our warehouse manager’s Grandma once used to lovingly paddle his a** when she caught him stealing sips of her beer. With more body than a traditional Belgian pils, Blue Paddle is reflective of Europe’s finest pilseners.

9-12-07 bottle. Golden color. Sweet apple smell. Medicinal taste up front with a bland finish. Slightly doughy taste with a very high carbonation. Doughy aftertaste as well.

12 oz. bottle - Pours a clear golden color with a one and a half finger thick white head. Nice lacing. Aroma is grain (corn) and light grass. Flavor is lightly sweetened grain. Light to medium body. A decent beer.

Fizzy pour, champagne-like. nose of new spring grass, kinda florally, with just a hint of green apple. Definately one of the more satisfying pilsners. Clean finish, crisp-Yummy!

draft @ yard house in denver. Honey, cereal aromas, a little bit of spiciness from the hops. Pours light blonde with a dense thick white head. Good clean crisp flavor, good noble hop character. not bad, very light and refreshing.

Had this beer on 3/3/1999. Color is a light gold with OK carbonation and a thin head. Aroma has slight tones of malt to it. Taste is light with a very bitter finish. It starts with a light body that goes down with a harsh golden malt flavor. The finish is no better it comes on with an overpowering sweet taste followed by a sharp and uneven bitterness. Overall I rate this as a BAD, I don’t know what the hell they wanted out of this brew but I don’t like it at all.

Pours a very pale yellow with dense head. Mild carbonation. Aroma is of straw. Flavor is sour (not bitter but sour). Not a quality I appreciate in a beer. Body is light. I just can’t get over that sourness!

This is not my favorite style, but his beer seems to be a good version of the pilsener lager. Tastes like a fuller Bud sans the nasty grain (rice, corn) alcohol taste.

33cL bottle. Pours out a hazy straw colour with a smallish white head. A nice crisp flavor with a slightly bitter hops finish.
