Commercial Description:
Climb on in and grab a paddle. Our first foray into lagered beers, Blue Paddle Pilsener-Lager, is a Czech style pilsener with a refreshing crispness from noble hops and a rich, malty finish. ‘Blue Paddle’ refers to the implement our warehouse manager’s Grandma once used to lovingly paddle his a** when she caught him stealing sips of her beer. With more body than a traditional Belgian pils, Blue Paddle is reflective of Europe’s finest pilseners.

Body is gold with a nice white head. Aroma has fruit notes to it, with malts, light hops up front. Taste is mildly hoppy, with a heavy dose of malt, smooth, bottle doesn’t seem super fresh though.

Bottle; Nose of grain, yeast, and a faint amount of hops; clear gold with a small white head; flavor of grainy malt with acitrus twist; finishing with mild hop bitterness. Decent pilsener!

Well kids, it’s a Pils, a drinkable brew no doubt, yet not my favorite style or even representation of the style. Golden and clear, with the slightest of chill haze. Fluffy white head leaving great lace and fluff. Smell is clean with a bit of bitterness, taste follows suit. Mild and really easy to drink, gets better the less is left in the glass. Second Beer in my let’s visit New Belgium beer tour. Will again be a hot/warm weather brew, but not much of a cool weather friend.

Golden in color with a light finish. Not the best I ever had and certainly not worst.

I liked this beer. It was very light, and refreshing. Earthy tasting. As for lagers, this one wasnt bad.

12 oz bottle via Cost Plus World Market.. Pours a clear golden blond with an average sized white head. Nose and taste are typical Pilsner. This is pretty grassy.Thin body, watery mouthfeel. Very average.

Pour really pale gold into the New Belgium pilsener glass. Big frothy white head and lots of sheeting lace in the side of the glass. Smells of herbal noble hops and faint sourness of pale malt. Taste is dominated by strong noble hops. Hops in the finish and linger in the aftertaste. Crisp and clean mouth. Refreshing and tasty, a nice domestic pilsener.

Bottle. Some you win, some you lose. Poured yellow, with liittle head and little nose. What there was consisted of an odd fermented corn. Kind of reminded me of Corona. And thai is not a compliment. Finish is bitter, and does not seem like hops. Just bitter. I am amazed at the high score this receives from others, but then to each his or her own I guess. I won’t drink this again unless I discover I got a bad bottle..
