Commercial Description:
Climb on in and grab a paddle. Our first foray into lagered beers, Blue Paddle Pilsener-Lager, is a Czech style pilsener with a refreshing crispness from noble hops and a rich, malty finish. ‘Blue Paddle’ refers to the implement our warehouse manager’s Grandma once used to lovingly paddle his a** when she caught him stealing sips of her beer. With more body than a traditional Belgian pils, Blue Paddle is reflective of Europe’s finest pilseners.

Bottle. Some you win, some you lose. Poured yellow, with liittle head and little nose. What there was consisted of an odd fermented corn. Kind of reminded me of Corona. And thai is not a compliment. Finish is bitter, and does not seem like hops. Just bitter. I am amazed at the high score this receives from others, but then to each his or her own I guess. I won’t drink this again unless I discover I got a bad bottle..

I drank this at the brewery and I was not impressed with it. To me the beer tasted almost metallic, with some other weird taste I can not identify. Would not drink again unless someone bought it for me.

WTF. "Hey, this might be good" is what I thought at my local save mart. A nice refreshing pilsener is just what I was looking for. I grab one and feel good about my purchase. Later that night I pop it open and pour it! OH BOY! wait a minute...what’s that smell. It’s very faint.....it smells....exactly like a Corona. Uh oh. Let’s see what it tastes like. I bet it just doesn’t have much of an aroma. Aw man it tastes just like a Corona, too. THIS IS AN OUTRAGE. The only good thing is it reminded me of a couple years back in college when I was drinkin coronas and playing old NES with my friends and we played Rampart for about 3 hours straight and I still beat them drunk off my ass. Unfortunately this beer is really shitty and I poured it down the drain. Stick with 1554 and don’t bother with this crap.

Bottle. Being that I like pilsners I often go for this beer, however, color is pale, aroma is faint and it has a bitter finish. Good summer beer.

From the bottle. Pours pale gold, almost champagne color. Not much to the aroma, faint malt. Some hops and malt on the taste, bitter finish. Decent pilz.

Draught from the brewery poured into sampler globe glass - Pours clear gold with a white head that leaves some lacing; A little hops and citrus to the nose; Grassy hops and malt on the initial taste; Malt backtaste; Medium palate; Nice carbonation; Not a bad beer, but not amazing. I’d drink it again.

I finally gave this one another shot, and I’m not sure if the beer has changed since the first time I tried it or what, but I really like this pilsener! It’s nothing fancy, but its crisp and refreshing
