Commercial Description:
Climb on in and grab a paddle. Our first foray into lagered beers, Blue Paddle Pilsener-Lager, is a Czech style pilsener with a refreshing crispness from noble hops and a rich, malty finish. ‘Blue Paddle’ refers to the implement our warehouse manager’s Grandma once used to lovingly paddle his a** when she caught him stealing sips of her beer. With more body than a traditional Belgian pils, Blue Paddle is reflective of Europe’s finest pilseners.

12 oz bottle, via Secret Santa PhillyBeer2112. Pours a clear bright yellow gold under a fizzy white head that left some nice lacing. Aroma is rather grassy with some bready pale malt and some light hoppiness. Flavor is rather fruity for a Pilsener, with a good amount of citrusy hops on the finish. Moderate bitterness and fairly crisp malt profile. Mouthfeel is thinnish with a watery texture and prickly fizzy carbonation. Overall, a middle of the road Pilsener. Not too much to say about this one really.

Pours pale yellow w/ full semi creamy froth. Aroma is fresh w/ hops and slightly rustic malt. Light nectar w/ ample residual effers. Flavors are crisp, clean, bright, w/ slight tobacco and rustic malt. Finish is bittered nicely. Overall: yup, it’s a beer.

Fans of crappy American Macros, be preppared to leave your old beers behind. One of the best pilsners that I have ever had. A very crisp flavor, slight bitterness, and very smooth finish.

This is a Perfect Beer. It is hard to compare with other Pilseners due to the refreshing hops bitterness. It pours a golden yellow with a 1" head that sticks around like peanut butter on the roof of a dog’s mouth. I will be making a trip to Arkansas to buy more. Please give this beer a try, I’m sure you will enjoy it!!

Nice translucent yellow pour with a foamy white head. Great pilsner flavour. Plenty of yeast, malt and even some nice hop bitterness. Great for the price and yet another step in my wheat appreciation tour.

12 oz. bottle. Drank on 6/11/06. Nice clear yellow, a hint of orange. Nice big creamy 1" head. Nice thick layer of foam sticks around. Big lacing. Aroma - little bit of sweet malts and a little bit of noble hop spiciness like a good pilsner. Flavor - little bit of bitterness, but nicely balanced. Good pilsner flavor. Little bit of sweetness in the finish. Little noble hop character. Palate - just a tad more body than light - perfect for this beer. Perfect, slightly low carbonation. Overall - a really nice pilsner. Very easily drinkable. Nice aroma, flavor, and balance. Great summer lawnmower beer, no complaints.
