Commercial Description:
Climb on in and grab a paddle. Our first foray into lagered beers, Blue Paddle Pilsener-Lager, is a Czech style pilsener with a refreshing crispness from noble hops and a rich, malty finish. ‘Blue Paddle’ refers to the implement our warehouse manager’s Grandma once used to lovingly paddle his a** when she caught him stealing sips of her beer. With more body than a traditional Belgian pils, Blue Paddle is reflective of Europe’s finest pilseners.

Bright gold with a frothy white head. The aroma is malty with fresh bread and celery. There is also apple core. The taste has A nice soft touch of citrus with grass and some slight celery in the finish. Nice and refreshing. Very well made for an American Pilsener.

pours a slowly effervescent yellow with a minor white head. aroma is dusty hay and some sweet floral notes. thick flavor of malt coats the tongu, bitter on the back end that is o.k. a little more chewy than i like. not bad overall.i could drink a few of these while doing yard work, or after some other vigorous activity.

Well, it’s not the worst pilsner out there. I guess I just don’t like pilsners anymore. This pours a clear yellow color with a pilsner head. It’s pretty much like most other pils out there with a little bit more of a caramel flavor. Drink this one if your mowing the lawn or something.

The beer poured a pale yellow color w/ thin head and thin lasting lacing. The aroma had light fruit, slight citrus notes, and a hint of flowers. The flavor had grapes, citrus, and light fermented fruit. The mouthfeel was light and thin.

Since I have not had many pilseners I am not one to comment on its ranking with regard to its style, but merely with regard to my personal liking for the beer. The pour is pale yellow...pretty boring as far as appearance. Aroma of wheat and slight hops. Flavor is really bread-ish. I could drink it, but there are lots of other things that I would rather have.

Thanks to TannerTavernBoys for this one! Medium gold, good head, nice. Aroma was slightly bready with a bit of floral. Flavor matched, good malt backbone, lots of whole wheat bread, and a subtle but definite floral hop finish. Very nice stuff.

Pours yellow with a white head. Very faint wheat aroma. Almost nothing in the flavor until the end, where there is a hoppy aftertaste. Yawn.
