Commercial Description:
Climb on in and grab a paddle. Our first foray into lagered beers, Blue Paddle Pilsener-Lager, is a Czech style pilsener with a refreshing crispness from noble hops and a rich, malty finish. ‘Blue Paddle’ refers to the implement our warehouse manager’s Grandma once used to lovingly paddle his a** when she caught him stealing sips of her beer. With more body than a traditional Belgian pils, Blue Paddle is reflective of Europe’s finest pilseners.

Another beer courtesy of Phillybeer. Nice head out of the bottle, some lacing. Nice flavoring for a Pilsner. Sweet, citrusy, hoppy all at the same time. A superior pilsner beer. I’m not a big pilsner fan but this again was very good.

Disappointing. Amber with frothy white head. Aroma was nondescript. Fizzy, watery body and an unremarkable flavor. New Belgium can and does do lots better.

Flowery, fruity hop aroma - smells like maybe an American derivative of a noble hop. Grainy, corn flaky malt flavor, moderate hop flavor. Medium bitterness. Not a bad American pilsner.

We tried a " few " glasses of this last year while on a camping\driving tour of Colorado. Loved the color and the hoppy smell. Not too bad for a Pilsner.

Pours a nice golden color with a short lasting white head. aroma has a straw and hop smell, taste was very crisp with wheat taste and a nice bitterness throughout. Fairly dry but a decent pilsner.

Pours golden with a white head the quicky disappears. Not a good sign. The taste is crisp but overwhelmingly hoppy. Finishes very bitter. Not alot of pleasure coming from this one. I don’t thikn it’s new belgium thats to blame hear I just haven’t yet found a pilsner that I like. They all seem skunky to me.

Pours a cloudy yellow with a thcik dissipating white head. Light metallic aroma. Light fruit notes and an ever so slight banana taste. Good mouthfeel well carbonated, and crisp but lacks any real flavor. Sour finish.

(Bottle) Pours a pale yellow color with a medium-sized white head. Flavor of wheat and yeast.
