Commercial Description:
Climb on in and grab a paddle. Our first foray into lagered beers, Blue Paddle Pilsener-Lager, is a Czech style pilsener with a refreshing crispness from noble hops and a rich, malty finish. ‘Blue Paddle’ refers to the implement our warehouse manager’s Grandma once used to lovingly paddle his a** when she caught him stealing sips of her beer. With more body than a traditional Belgian pils, Blue Paddle is reflective of Europe’s finest pilseners.

Lovely gold with nice white head that leaves lace on the glass. A well balanced and flavorful pilsner. Would be a great summer beer.

Soooo much better than Fat Tire, but still not great... Pours a golden yellow with not much head but with all the carbonation it leaves behind a suprising amount of lacing. Smells light and citrusy with a hint of hops. Tastes okay but it's lacking something. There's a light taste of hops and a lemony hint of citrus, but for some reason I'm picturing apples Mouthfeel is carbonated water. There really isn't much there. Drinkability? I'd grab one if I was thirsty, yeah. And I could have several without problems. But there are too many better pilsners out there for the money.

Straw hue with fizzy white head and some lace. The aroma hinted of grassy and aromatic hops, biscuit, leathery yeast, lemon. The taste starts sweet with a monor bitter off-tone. A citric undertone shines through but quickly disappears to the light buttery malt and lingering bitterness. The mouthfeel was watery and not a crisp as would like in a pils. Okay I guess, nothing to seek out.

Bought a single of this just to try, but it was not all that interesting. Decent pils but I wish it had more snappy hops.

This is a pretty good lager, but it's still a lager. The palate on this has a little more body to it than most of the watery lagers ive come across. Definatly not New Belgium's strongest effort.

Bottle: Pours straw colored with a head that dissapated a bit quickly for a Pils. Upon tasting, all is forgiven; delicate flavor with malty backbone complimented by crisp, yet balanced hop bitterness. I will be buying this beer again. I have(at last) found a go-to Pilsner.

Wow this beer poured a monsterous white foamy head..massive..it settled down after 5 minutes thoughg..nice golden beer below..good looking pils. the aroma is quite average for this type the noble hops..weak malts etc. weird flavour throughout each mouthful..its not bad..just cant place it....odd bitterness not the usual Noble hop taste..well whatever its pretty good. average in the mouth , nothing out of the ordinary. A pretty drinkable but forgettable brew..ok i suppose.

Hrm. Pleasant light gold-amber. Not much head. Sweeter and maltier than I'd like but this seems to be a reasonably okay offering. I hoped for more.
