Commercial Description:
Climb on in and grab a paddle. Our first foray into lagered beers, Blue Paddle Pilsener-Lager, is a Czech style pilsener with a refreshing crispness from noble hops and a rich, malty finish. ‘Blue Paddle’ refers to the implement our warehouse manager’s Grandma once used to lovingly paddle his a** when she caught him stealing sips of her beer. With more body than a traditional Belgian pils, Blue Paddle is reflective of Europe’s finest pilseners.

Bright yellow pour with a huge white head. Smells of grass and a little corn. Very grassy taste with a hint of spice. Another disappointment from this brewery.

12 oz bottle that poured clear yellow with a large sticky white head. Aroma of hay with a touch of citrus. Lightly hopped flavor with grain and and mild malt. Smooth but evenly bitter finish.

Pours with a fluffy, decent sized white head and a clear golden body. Good lacing. Aroma of grass and sweet, raw malt. Taste is crisp with grass and cereal. Decently bitter on the finish. A touch metallic, but a good pilsner, and very drinkable. Lively, but non forced carbonation, dry mouthfeel. Good for what it is. If I was rating on strict style guidelines this would be a lot higher, but I am rating on preferences.

Bottle: pours a light golden color with white head. I do enjoy the slight spice taste and dryness that makes this a thirst quenching beer. The aftertaste lingers for awhile.

Bottle thanks to unclemike. Clear honey yellow with a thin white head. Aroma is corny and dry pils malt. Taste is only slight malt and slight bittering. Mild, inoffensive. Crisp biting finish.

Draught. Low and quickly disapearing white head. Clear golden body. Weak barley malt aroma. Relatively dry barley malt flavor without much hops bitterness. High carbonation. Long aftertaste.

Bottle. Pours a clear gold color with a thin white head that lingers. Taste and aroma are of hops and malt. Crisp, clean and refreshing. Is well balanced and very easy to drink.
