Commercial Description:
Brewer: Was brewing Fat Tire overnight and, we suspect, lightning hit the building and knocked the computers out. Consequently, malt kept getting added to the brewing process. Not wanting to "waste" all that malt, we went ahead and completed the process. Its a strong, malty beer at approximately 8.5% alcohol.

Was never bottled and is only available at the brewery.

Draft. Golden-amber color with a little white head. Malty aroma. Flavor is very fruity, malty, and even more fruity. Finish is dryer than I’d have imagined.

Notes are hazy, from Dr. Bill’s post GABF party at Falling Rock 10/2/04... Poured a deep golden color with a medium sized off white head. If I could understand my notes, i’d be better off. I can understand "a very average saison". Seems to be about what everyone else has said about this beer.

Tasted at the 2004 Bistro Hop Fest. Light gold color. Small white head. Aroma is fruity and sweet. A medium bodied Belgian style ale. Malts are fruity and sweet. Bright yeasts. Clean and smooth. Would be a good session beer. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is sweet.

Golden color, not much head. Malty, sweet aroma. Taste is just as the discription- pure pale malt. Becomes somewhat grainy, if you can handle that. Alcohol is well masked, mainly because this is overly sweet. Interesting I guess, maybe a little too one diminsional.

This was a misake or something stupid. A lightning strike hit something and caused something else to cause something else to dump way to damn much pale malt into a botched batch of Fat Tire or something. Whatever. I couldn’t even finish the four ounce sample of this stuff. Pale. Barely existant aroma (biscuits, grain.) Rough, husky, grainy, harsh, gagging pale malts attack and ruin my tastebuds (like taking knives to the tongue). The lack of a Belgian Yeast strain made this even worse. I don’t even know what to say about this witch potion except please, someone hand me a Colt 45.
