CelticBrew (457), The Crystal Coast, North Carolina, USA Apr 11, 2008 Pours from 12 oz bottle crystal clear, orangey copper with a wispy head that forms a bit of a ring. Caramel aroma that is pretty weak with some hops and orange notes. Flavor was rather non-descript with some toasty bread and caramel malts and a dose of floral hops... nothing exciting, and only moderately enjoyable. Another one of those semi boring amber beers.
BenDover (95), Ohio, USA Aug 29, 2008 Pours a medium amber, some off-white foam. A bit of malt, nuttiness, faint hops. Not a bad amber beer but there are better ones. I don’t like this as much as I used to since I found Great Lakes Elliot Ness. SacSirPlato (15), New Buffalo, Michigan, USA Aug 26, 2008 Nothing special here. Nothing offensive. A very plain beer. Balanced. Biscuity, lightly hoppy and smooth. I don’t hate on it. I just don’t understand the hype. Lubiere (3231), Ottawa, Ontario, Canada Aug 25, 2008 A golden ale with a thick frothy off white head. Aroma of freshly mashed malt, biscuitty. In mouth, a crisp malt with nutty notes, light burned bitterness, lightly oily in mouth. Medium bodied. August 2007. Jarrid (6), Hot Springs, Arkansas, USA does not count Aug 23, 2008 A very common beer to find here in Hot Springs, Arkansas at a gas station. I will usually pick this up if my favorite store, The Wine Rack and Spirits Shoppe, is closed. It is a life saver sometimes. Overall, the aroma is alright; appearance is not that great but better than a lot of other domestic beers here in America; and the flavor is not too bad. I mainly like it due to the fact it is easy to obtain. fata2683 (86), APO, New York, USA Aug 20, 2008 Readily available and not that bad. Nice biscuit malt flavor light on the hops. Solid beer.
