Strong rasberry aroma, with hints of caramel and roasted malts. Bitter, sour and pungent finish. Rasberries abound. A bit thin in the flavor - kind of watery. If you like raspberries, you will probably like this beer. notalush (2690), Denver, Colorado, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | May 28, 2006 Thanks to beerhandy for this bottle - deep ruby/garnet color - musty, tart raspberry aroma, quite full yet delicate and mild at the same time - a bit thin - mostly raspberry, with small undercurrents of chocolate and spice - thin, watery finish - another NB product that kind of disappoints. Frankly, they leave me cold. This offering poured out copper with a small beige head. The initial and prevelent aroma was raspberries. Maybe some buttered toast. Light bodied and watery, the flavor was of raspberry SweeTTarts (the candy) but not in a nice way. jake65 (1725), Williston, North Dakota, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Apr 11, 2006 Poured a tradional brown ale color with hints of red and amber. Tastes of malts, and raspberries. The fruitness is clearly present in this brew, but not an overpowering type of taste. I enjoyed this beer and would recommend it to anyone who likes fruit beers. hiphops (280), caldwell, New Jersey, USA

| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Mar 26, 2006 A much better beer than I thought is was going to be. It had a very nice raspberry aroma. The flavor was almost like a wine, where it is kinda tingy and explodes in your mouth. With notes of malts, raspberries, yeast and other fruits.

| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Mar 12, 2006 On tap at the brewery during GABF weekend 05. Pours a deep mahagony red with great lacing and a thin head. Very nice fresh ripe raspberry aroma pretty much dominates things, but is very nice. Flavor is balanced between a good amount of fresh raspberries, some sweet dark crystal malt, and a nice light somewhat tart aftertaste and finish. Pretty good for a fruit beer. Transparent ruby-brown ale, with a reddish brown head that laces the glass. Nice fresh raspberry aroma. Slighty sweet, malty-raspberry flavor with a hint of sourness in the aftertaste.
