Jan 7, 2004 This one poured a beautiful cherry hue with a thin tan head. Aroma is a bit sour, raspberries, graham crackers, yeast and malt come to mind. Body is thin to medium and smooth yet effevescent. Flavor is tart and full of raspberries with an acidic finish. Overall not outstanding and rather weak in aroma and flavor.

Jan 3, 2004 Poured a reddish copper color with a fizzing tannish, almost purple head. Tart raspberry nose. Taste begins with chocolate, nuts, and caramel malt and finishes tart raspberry. Very interesting, this is a very enjoyable fruit beer. Thanks TAR!

Dec 29, 2003 I am not one to jump at fruit beers, but I had to try this beer. Poured with an almost brownish/purplish head??? optical illusion? Aroma of raspberries jumped down my nasal passages ! Flavor was light and pleasing with notes of chocolate malt and raspberries finishing into a light (but hoppier than expected) ending. Nice, but seems like the mouthfeel could be just a little more.

Dec 25, 2003 The Frambozen poured a dark ruby red with a big pinkish-tan, creamy head that lasted for the entire time and laced the glass on the way down. It had a tart, fruity nose. The taste followed suit - a big tart raspberry initial taste that mellowed as the beer warmed, with a smooth malt finish. This is one of my favorite holiday beers. The fruitiness is not overwhelming, and it's very drinkable. I have noticed that the taste can vary from batch to batch as well as draft vs bottles - some are fruitier and tarter than others.

Dec 21, 2003 Beautiful red color with a slight tan head. Fruity aroma with the smell of fermented rasberries, and a touch of sourness. Full palate with hints of chocolate and rasberry mixed to gether with a pleasant sourness. Very good and drinkable. Many thanks to TChrome!

Dec 16, 2003 Small beige-pink head atop a deep ruby-brown body. Aroma is medium sweet, definitely raspberry, some butter. Taste reflects the beer's origins -- there's both the sour/sweet raspberry, and nuttiness. Watery medium body, with medium acidity, that hides the alcohol remarkably well.
