Dec 1, 2008 Pours a slightly hazy red-brown with a small foamy head. A bit of sourness in the big raspberry aroma and flavor, along with roasted malt and nuts. Just a bit on the thin side. A decent, non-artificial tasting fruit brew.

Dec 1, 2008 bottle. hazy dirty brown pour. caramel malt, hints of raspberry. sweet soft malt, caramel, brown ale flavors and juice-like raspberry. it got worse as i drank it.

Nov 27, 2008 12oz bottle served in a Duvel tulip. Poured a pretty reddish brown with a thin, almost pink head. Nice sour berry aroma. Medium bodied, slightly spritzy mouthfeel. Lots of raspberry in the flavor with some chocolate malt. Slightly sour in a good way. Not overly sweet. No discernible hops. Very drinkable.
I hadn’t had this in a while, and I found it much better than I remembered.

Nov 26, 2008 pours a clear magenta with a thin beige head, and some lacing.
smell is of fruit, nuts, molasses, and a little brown sugar.
taste is tart, raspberry, cranberry, some hops, slight sweetness in the back, and ends a little bitter.
overall a nice fruity brew.

Nov 26, 2008 deep chocolate brown pour with a cream head. raspberries on the nose but not much else. not too bad on the palate with a raspberry tart flavor that lasts throughout the finish.

Nov 19, 2008 A raspberry bomb in a good way. Not artificial Raspberry syrup, but real raspberries. Bread crust and yew hedge in the aroma. Kind of an ugly head. A good raspberry beer, an iffy Holiday Ale.

Nov 1, 2008 Pours a brownish read with a nice light brown head. Aroma of chocolate, raspberry, malt. Flavor is raspberry, roast, malt. Finishes with an odd nutty taste tinged with a bit of artificial raspberry. Worth trying, but not something I’d seek out on a regular basis.
