A bit of sourness in the big raspberry aroma and flavor, along with roasted malt and nuts. Just a bit on the thin side. A decent, non-artificial tasting fruit brew. golubj (1290), Sunnyvale, California, USA

Poured a pretty reddish brown with a thin, almost pink head. Nice sour berry aroma. Medium bodied, slightly spritzy mouthfeel. Lots of raspberry in the flavor with some chocolate malt. Slightly sour in a good way. Not overly sweet. No discernible hops. Very drinkable.
I hadn’t had this in a while, and I found it much better than I remembered. robforbes (1110), Bremerton, Washington, USA

| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 2/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Nov 19, 2008 A raspberry bomb in a good way. Not artificial Raspberry syrup, but real raspberries. Bread crust and yew hedge in the aroma. Kind of an ugly head. A good raspberry beer, an iffy Holiday Ale. smooch (114), Sylvania, Ohio, USA

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Nov 1, 2008 Pours a brownish read with a nice light brown head. Aroma of chocolate, raspberry, malt. Flavor is raspberry, roast, malt. Finishes with an odd nutty taste tinged with a bit of artificial raspberry. Worth trying, but not something I’d seek out on a regular basis.
