Commercial Description:
Ale brewed with Lemon Peel and infused with Espresso
Giddy Up is a delicious juxtaposition of coffee, sustainably grown in Brazil and espresso-roasted locally, pressed into an ale with the deep color of a copper cowboy kettle. First whiff is full of sweeet caramel, toffee, latte. Then, a hint of lemon scone flavor from the addition of lemon peel. Body is creamy, resonant of espresso, yet the finish is bright, even a bit frisky. An ale to git along with...

On tap at Crescent Moon. Pours a clear, reddish gold, with a very small head. Light aroma is slightly sweet and slightly coffee, perhaps like a watered down flavored coffee drink. Flavor is about the same, some sweet malt notes with some bitter coffee accent to it, especially in the finish. Pretty decent after a few swallows to get used to it, and I wouldn’t mind trying it again.

sampled on tap @ papago... clear cherry stained wood color with an off white head and some spots of lacing. what i can pick out of the faint aroma is nuts toasted and candied with brown sugar, stale coffee beans and chocolate. tastes like day old sour low quality cold coffee with the grounds at the bottom, chocolate, caramel and a strange tartness i assume is the lemon peel. it finishes dry and tart leaving behind an aftertaste of coffee and bam!... there’s the lemon. medium body with prickly carbonation that dries off the tongue. it’s strange yet it strangely works... kinda like sour truck stop coffee mixed with beer works.

Tap @ Belmont Station... Poured deep ruby with a white head. Aroma of fresh coffee beans. Full in the mouth and a dry palate. Coffee flavors up front and smooth caramel-malt much like an amber ale. A little bit of the lemon peel kicked in during the finish.

On tap at Duck Island in Seattle, WA--Nose of freshly ground coffee. Pale, amber body with a thick fluffy whitish head. Gritty, chewy, morning coffee all the way. Boo yah! Lingering coffee acidity and malt presence.

On draught at Trinity Brewing in Colorado Springs. Aroma is smoky with some roasted notes. Color is a bright amber/brown with good carbonation and a small but tight head. Taste is smoky and creamy. Starting with a medium body it goes down with a creamy feel. Finish comes in with a smoky coffee taste, a little caramel and a hint of lemon. After taste has a faint bitterness with a nice espresso taste that lingers on. This is a very good brew and a bit more complex then I am use to having from New Belgium.

Tap @ TFD: Reddish copper pour with a large beige head. Earthy and musty aroma is ripe with coffee. Tastes like stale coffee. Some bitters like the grounds were left in. Dispicable.
