mj (4973), Colorado, USA Apr 7, 2009 Falling Rock. Clear gold. Lavender and aspirin flavor, soft and smooth texture. Anise, peaches and hay in the nose. Sweaty notes of boozy/tinny peaches and spiced urine. Hrm. verymerrymonk (255), Cincinnati, Ohio, USA Mar 30, 2009 Draught at Falling Rock. Pour is hazy golden with a thin, quickly relenting head. Flavors are typical of what I think of for BSAs. Sweet, bananas, and spices. Nothing outstanding, but there was a weird lemon flavor that came in on the back end that was a bit of a turnoff. waolsen (1220), Littleton, Colorado, USA Mar 29, 2009 Shared a pitcher with Mark at Falling Rock. Golden pour with moderate head and lacing. fresh aroma of grapes, spice, alcohol. light and fresh. wine like qualities. spice and warming. I enjoyed this HonkeyBra (1268), Lemont, Illinois, USA Mar 18, 2009 Had this at the brewery around Carythedude and jakebra. Sweet aroma with some spice. Flavor is cloying and spicey, kind of gross. Really wouldn’t have this again. CaryTheDude (1113), Longmont, Colorado, USA Mar 7, 2009 Crushed with Jakebra at BSAF. This was one of the last ones I tried, so my notes are a little scratchy. I obviously didn’t like it, I can say that much. Just found it boring from what I can gather. For once I didn’t write anything about poop, however. ratman197 (3139), Arvada, Colorado, USA Mar 4, 2009 On tap at Boulder Strong Ale Fest poured a clear yellow with a small lingering white head. Aromas of cookie, spiuce and straw. Palate was light bodied and crisp. Flavors of straw, spice and light fruittiness with a crisp spiced finish.
