Aroma of tart sweettart candies and earthiness. Very reminiscent of Rodenbach Grand Cru. Flavor of tartness with a pinch of vinegar and oddly for a 6%, a slight alcohol tinge. Acidic but decently drinkable. This is a pretty good sour, but not quite there in the flavor department (compared to the best sours that is). thejoeshow (232), Saint Paul, Minnesota, USA
| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Sep 13, 2008 750ml bottle. Pours a cloudy reddish brown color with an almost yellow head to it. Nice earthy tart aroma to it. Flavor on this thing is amazing! It is so complex with hints of oak, apple and even a little vinegar. The sourness is perfect. It’s not too harsh but it has enough to it. I love this beer, and there is a reason why it has won so many medals. illidurit (891), Santa Cruz, California, USA

The aroma is earthy and very acetic. Strong vinegar, very mild cocoa notes, raspberry tartness, oak and some bretty funk of leather. Silky body feel, with a very strong acetic character in the flavor- assertive and sharp with sour cherry skin and plenty of funk. Has notes of leather and lemony acidity, and soft oak. when it warms just a touch of dark malt peek through giving it just the slightest nuance of cocoa. A nice sour! oakbluff (300), Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada
